Searching for the one
Souring, running as life carried through love trials,
life’s, little issues.
Wanting for so much more and getting so little
longing for the world and getting a piddle.
Grasping, trying to attach myself
to someone I could call my soul mate,
my life mate, my best friend.
I was wondering why my God could be so cruel
and not attach us birth
so we wouldn’t have to search
the world.
But even God has to have some entertainment
watching us wander through this world,
our matches made, those big mistakes
hoping to learn from what we undertake.
It’s like looking for a soul mate in a haystack
taking so long and getting so old
this big world can be so cold.
There have been so many stabs to my heart
scarce form, falling a part
wounds that will never heal.
Still, I have not found the one that makes me whole.
Is he right there, in front of my face
or have I passed him somewhere along the way.
At times I feel he will never be
here with me, that he
will never wake up beside me.
Will I never have someone to hold
someone to share my life with
someone to make me whole
that I can call my own.
Then one day we will grow old
and when its time to die
he will slip him self inside
and when the pleasure
becomes too much
we will pass
as one.
