These pages are stained and torn
I've read you a thousand times
I've memorized every sentence
every last line
One hundred fifty six pages
each filled with wonderous joy
my favorite
my favorite
the pink book in the back
the binding's now all stringy
as the pages try to fall
but I'll tape you back together
it just needs love, that's all
you've been handed from one to another
who knows who had you first?
but I'm the last
and I won't lose you
I know what you're worth.

This is a sweet little poem. I think we've all owned a book like that at one time or another. :) |
