vision of the gods

Vision of the Gods

You hear a distant laughing
You see comfort in her stare
You fall into a daydream of wonders
Leaving all your thoughts behind

Siren’s sweetly singing
Echoing in the sunny glare
The colors slipping through your fingers
into the madness of your mind

Goddess Aphrodite
Riding on the whispering wind
Her loving voice is calling you
To the land with rainbow skies

Apollo’s chariot is dragging
The sun’s rays across the mountains
The shining of the sea so blue
Reflecting in your eyes

Radiant colors spinning
Through the ripples in the air
You follow the flaming sunset
As the colors start to run

The girl in the field is dancing
With the flowers in her hair
And you want to follow her footsteps
to the other side of the sun

As someone who as delved into other realms....I really dug this...the whole thing with the colors. Truly unbelievable are they not?, spinning around, knowing they're there all the time, but with a little boost the mental acuity becomes so heightened we can finally see them. I was wondering if the Cream song you were listening to was "Sunshine of My Love"...great tune and your poem took me to it.
Thanks for sharing. Happy trips.
Peace,
Laura
