Corrosive Love

Contributed by deadheadpoet on Saturday, 20th October 2007 @ 05:15:44 AM in AEST
Topic: anguished

Why?
Why, my love, why?
Why did you make me cry?
How many times did you look at me
and you simply
lied?
Unequivocally...
Unambiguously,
You lied.
This pain is horrendous.
I can't seem to make
it go away.
This deed you have done,
it is like a cancer..
eating my insides out
each and every day.
Sadly...
Soon only the shell,

shall remain.

My dearest friend, I am so happy that you are much more than a shell.
In fact, your casings hold in a very enchanting and delightful soul!!

This was such a raw and brittle piece. I have conflicting thoughts about
why you chose to separate the last two words. It's quite interesting , in
fact. You can read it like it is, "soon only the shell shall remain" and take it
at face value to mean ... well .. precisely what it means, OR you could
just read the last two words ... shall remain

.... shall remain

.... shall remain !!!!!!

As if the word, "I" should stand in front of them. I SHALL REMAIN.

(and damn if you didn't do just that! Literally, Emotionally and Philosophically!!!
You rock, sis!!)

much love, hugs and peace,

~MG

Very good job

Three applause for the thoughts, you express.
That story will be placed among the very best.
You really wrote that story quite vividly.
The paradoxical lover for all to see.
I really enjoyed the words I read.
Damn, I wish I penned them, instead.

You do explain your feeling quite well. I'm sorry that it has to be sad.
Take care, ok?
David
