Winged Back Angels Chair

Her laughter heals my soul it does as we walk halls together,
We roll the wheels down painted walls for distraction or change of weather.
Not many know the mind she has and how she comprehends me,
The laughter and the magic sets both of us so free.

I have her opening all the doors that handicap her path,
I hit the water fountain buttons giving tiny hands a bath.
Sometimes she mumbles out the words that I translate for her,
I bring her textured world to her as she touches leaves and fur.

I wish that I could paint for you the colour of her soul.
Her smiles and floppy waves to you as down the hall we roll.
I wouldn't miss a minute of the perfect joy we share,
As she and I go round about in her winged back rolling chair.

Everyone has something to teach others whether they are young or old, handicapped or not. Sadly though most people aren't receptive to learning from anyone who doesn't fit the right mould. I love that you can and have, and you share this joy with us on here.
A beautiful and heartwarming write,

Dom

ND, that heart of yours is a national treasure!!

You capture such glorious moments in verse, it brings tears to the eyes!
And isn't it true, the simple things bring us the most pleasure? Damn,
how true and how beautiful that you could illustrate that for us here with
your amazing words ....

beautiful, hun.

*hugs*

I wish that I could paint for you the colour of her soul.

I adore that line. I swear when you connect with someone, really connect, you do know such things. And yes, gosh yes, I know that feeling of wishing so entirely that you could somehow convey it to others so that they might know as well. It feels near impossible to not jump up and down shouting "you have no idea what you're missing here!!!", doesn't it?

This is absolutely heartwarming. It sounds like you've both been blessed by finding each other.

And hun? Please give her a hug for me. : )
