Rumbling Hearts

Rumbling Hearts

Do you remember,
The days when we would look to the sky?
Can you feel,
The gentle caresses of the wind on your cheek
I remember,
I remember the days when your eyes held such love in them
Time slowed all around us
And we were free
Stretching our wings as the wind would lifted us up
How i long for those days once more
Its so lonely here now that your gone
The wind no longer blows to lift me
It cuts into me like a rusted razor
And a once green, rich and beautiful world
Is now a repugnant black as though scorched by flame
Those times we had were filled with such joy
But also such pain, like the time we said our final goodbye
Goodbye, its so sad how it ends with this one word
With tears in my eyes i ask
Without you can it ever be the same?
I ask this yet i am avoiding its answer
But for what its worth...thank you.

Mmmmm... love... how wonderful it can feel... and how low it can bring you down. Very beautiful poem. All love is worth it. All we can do it learn from it and become better people. ~Adreana
