TRUE LOVE

Will I find the true love I long for?
Will it just come knocking at my door?
These questions are always on my mind
Because hurt and pain is all I seem to find
My friends keep saying let true love come to you
But how will I know the Love is really true?
Will this person be the one I've been dreaming of at night?
And when things go wrong will he make them alright.
I'm just so scared of being hurt by love once more
But no one knows what destiny has in stored
My friends keep saying that with true love there's always a risk
A risk that begins with the very first kiss
I've taken this risk one to many times
And each time I do hurt, pain and tears is all I find
My heart is scared by broken promise and lots of lies
And my eyes hurt from so many tears I've cried
No longer will I go looking for a true love to call mine
And no longer will I let fake people make me so blind
In my heart I know some day God will send true love to my side
But up till then I will stand tall and life will be alright.

| wow love your poem your friends are right though true love will find you you just have to wait and live life as much as possible great poem anyways |

| Absolutely the best i have read in a long time...You have written what i've felt for so many years... And glad to say that now true love has knocked on my door..My friends we're right!!!! Thanks for sharing this poem. |
