I've been used and recycled
Uploaded and deprogrammed
Pushed in and pulled out

I'm emotionless and dedicated
Lover and fighter
Shy and ******

The matradi in this masquerade of life

I'm the Joker right down to the Ace
The phantom with a beaten mask
The captain with a torn soul

I'm the Wicked Witch of South with a secret
The murderer with an abused past
The tortured orphan with a raped future

A magician with an empty hat, looking at destiny himself

I'm a pen with too much lead
An outfielder who's up too bat.
A teen with an adult mind.

I'm a protester without a cause
An outsider who's looking in.
A songwriter with no pen.

I agree that it seems like something is missing, other than that I thoroughly enjoyed it.

While every care is taken to ensure the general sites content is family safe, our moderators cannot be in all places; all the time. Please report poetry and or comments that are in breach of our site rules HERE (Please include poem title or url). Parents also please ensure that you supervise your children well when they are on the internet; regardless of what a site says about being, or being considered, child-safe.
