Oh, bless me, my dear Father,
to walk with You today;
make me glad and happy
as we go along the way.
Oh, bless me, my dear Father,
with hearts who need Your love;
make me glad to love them
with Your Spirit, like a dove.
Oh, bless me, my dear Father,
with worthy work to do...
that I may hold my head up high,
though praised by only few.
Oh, bless me, my dear Father,
so my heart and soul shall sing,
through the mountains and the valleys,
in joyous echoes ring.
Oh, bless me, my dear Father,
as I lay down on my bed,....
with my thoughts of precious moments,
still swimming in my head.
