watch her eyes
look up to the skies
they are dreamin of nothin
but dragonflies
the birds and flowers
wasting the hours
in our backyard
in rainbow showers
the cats are fed
and lazy in bed
we are talkin about all
the things we said
for all her worries
for all her pain
cheers to us
together again
You are not tomorrow, you are today
she likes walks in the park
sex in the dark
doesnt like noises
or driving a car
opens the windows
lighter than air
but not too modern
light skin and hair
turns on the tv
drinking a beer
eats with the light on
has something to share
only at night will she
set the alarm
put her head on my
shoulder and arm
You are not tomorrow, you are today
