To Bid You Farewell

Grief
|
On the river bed she laid
Her eyes gazing the sky
Where her soul has strayed
Then whispered her last sigh
The water gently wiped her tears
And gave her cheeks another kiss
Still the crimson clouds she peers
Lest she might lose that final bliss
Kneeling beside her was I
Softly rubbing her hair
With my palm resting on her thigh
I mourned in misery and despair
In darker ruby the water was dyed
Painting her life with the colors of hell
Where my dearest wife has died
And with a kiss I bid her farewell
