Jesus lifted his head to breathe.
The crowd gathered for the show.
He was their teacher and friend.
He used to be someone to know.
They beat upon him until he bruised.
For our sins, the Savoir paid the cost.
The soldiers chose the words to use.
King of the Jews was nailed on the cross.
Jesus slowly moves his tired head.
He sees a criminal hung on each side.
My Savior, on a cross, was left for dead.
Hear his last words before he died.
It is hard to hear the last words he said.
As his breathing slowly, slowly diminished,
He gradually dropped his heavy bleeding head.
Listen. closely to hear the words he said
The last words of Jesus, are simply ‘It is finished.’
