Lover of Lies, Damn Lies

Contributed by spike on Friday, 12th October 2007 @ 04:30:21 AM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

What weaseling mendacity
That you pedal with audacity!
Brazen acts of deception,
More dark habits than a nun’s convention
Politicians are spin masters
Used car salesman sell disasters
I’ve never heard such hokum;
If I had a stick I’d poke ‘em
But all pale in attempts
To match your wilful fraudulence

With all the bogus stories said,
You couldn’t lie straight in bed!
You are the master of deceit,
Your bag of lies stretched and replete
Lying to kick it, to just fit in
Don’t you know it‘s still a sin?
All your fibs will take its toll,
Karmic weights upon your soul
Such untruths have earned my ire

Liar, Liar pant’s on fire!

Having the live performance of this lively piece right next to me promotes a laughter far greater than the written magnificence of the internet page. As usual, Spike, a masterful spoutin' o' words.

I find humour in the fact that this is posted after Cradle .... "You couldn’t lie straight in bed"

But in a big enough bed ... you don't have too ... right ?

You earned a real big lopsided grin there Spikester.

lol

a delightful adult take on the children's rhyme, S. And now,
it has got me thinking, what the heck inspired this? Perhaps a
bad experience with a used car salesman. lol How redundant
it the word "bad" in that sentence? Is there ever a "good" experience?

lol anyway, great flow here, Spikers. Enjoyed this one.
Thanks for the smile =)

Humour yes,but a touch of anger here too, I think?
I like you in a humorously angry mood(laughs)
Someone's been at the pork pies and now they have a real, hot arse.(laughs again)
