Rain on a sunny day
Drizzled past the dust and lies
Of an old and darkening dream
How she dances
Standing still
The way she ought to be
The lonely ribbon of a smile
Tied in the half shadow
Of an old windows light
Falling curiously over the
Crumbling plateau of her form
Surrounded by the arms of a child
In an aquamarine spring dress
Crying for the sea
Of familiar words
Written the way they ought to be
With the same lilt sadness
Carved in the windows frame
That opens her eyes
Filled with drying tear streaked skies
That reminds me of the rain
Opening on a sunny day
