WHY
The shapeless flows between my fingers
Nothing is real
Nothing appeals
With eyelids nailed shut to enclose calloused eyes
And an empty mouth which can only mimic sorrow
As it gazes down on its fallen ally
My tongue stretched out and planted beneath ash
May it one day flourish into a serenade of anguish
Odd fantasies flicker through transparent discontent
But the clouds wander towards revolution
The sun is revealed through transparent euphoria
And corrupted ecstasy is injected
One ***** is as good as the other
Nothing is real
Nothing appeals
At night I heard affection grieving
Convulsing between two pale sunsets
As they approach a chaotic relief
Odd fantasies flicker through transparent discontent
But the clouds wander towards revolution
The sun is revealed through transparent euphoria
And corrupted ecstasy is injected
One ***** is as good as the other
They collide with the horizon
Nothing goes away
Nothing stays the same
. . .May they one day flourish into a serenade of anguish.
