When Willows Weep

On quiet afternoons
When soft winds blow
When grass covers tombs
And delicate buds grow
When drooping branches shade
And birds make nest
Before sun's rays fade
And drowsy children rest
When long days close
And innocent babies sleep
Only one who's vigilant knows
When old willows weep

Lovely rhyming throughout this read. I liked the ending. I love willow trees....your willow indeed may be a metaphor for something else...but to willow trees it took me. I'll send you a really cool picture that came to mind, whilst reading the last stanza.
Thanks for sharing.
Peace,
