My Soul One

Contributed by deadheadpoet on Thursday, 4th October 2007 @ 01:52:07 AM in AEST
Topic: fantasy

I keep searching for my soul mate
You know...
That One who totally melds
The One that grabs my hand
even before I have to tell
One who knows me
and loves me all the same
One who cares
and never casts blame
That someone who
kisses you and causes
butterflies to float
My Captain, ship mate
and raft on life's boat
The One who never strays off course
and takes to different shores
A soul one to join with
who peers through the same doors
I long for that, One
who makes me blush
Who brands my soul
with just a subtle touch
Searching
I know you are out there
Three times I've failed
Three times my heart was taken
and torn
I must find my soul one
Before I'm old and worn...

10/3/07
Laura Howell Horner

10-8-07 Editor's note: I believe we all have a soul mate. I think mine is right where I thought he was, maybe he just got lost in the swirl...Love shall conquer all.

I don't think I could have expressed the sentiment better. Many of us:

Search for that one and true connection
Hearts intertwined in perfection
With mental and spiritual cohesion
Bound together by love and divine sanction

great write, and thanks again for the willow tree :)

Oh Laura, (and Emy) ... they are out there ... they gotta be ... I know many a man who could just as easily relate to these words. I don't know if there is some special trick to finding them or not ... I guess ... just recognizing them when you do ... I suppose.

Oh, my dear sis, Laura. Hun, I know of this pain, so intimately well. I have shared that
with you before. What does it take to find that one who thinks, lives, LOVES as you do? I
wish I had answers. I CAN tell you, I feel exceptionally blessed where that is concerned. *wink*

You just keep being who you are my sweet hippie. There is no mistaking the beauty
and depth of that warm and wonderful heart, nor the patience and kindness of that
gracious soul. He is there, wondering when you're going to find him too. :)

I pray it doesn't take either of you too long ...

peace, love and hugs

~MG

Hey Laura such a sad tune your heart sings my dear hippie friend. I had too, given up on ever finding my soul mate, but hey they do exist hun~
May you find your soul mate real soon and may your heart sing a tune of a much happier note~
On the wings of a prayer may you find what your heart truly desires my dear HippieChick friend,
huge hugs n prayers,
dreamer

Laura, I can only say that being yourself and not changing for the sake of pleasing another
is improtant. But be willing to risk if you do have an opportunity with someoone whom you cherish. Some, out of their eagerrness to locate a soul mate too quickly, become intimately involved before they establish a frieindship: then become involved only to discover this really ins't my soul mate.

Be patient my friend, you deserve to be happy. May you be blessed with a loving and caring soul mate.

Will
