Jaded

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

So very afraid to trust
Too many times
I've thought my footing fairly firm
Whence from nowhere
The rug once again
gets tugged from under my feet...
I've fallen so many times.

Words that are spoken
can seem so believable
Voices that lull can be
so inconceivable
Who are the "good guys"?
Whom can one trust?

One pours tears
from their heart's voice
and watches them
quickly turn to dust
Can everyone spill lies?
Can you give me an alibi?

I feel so suspicious
Waiting for the ax to fall
Knowing that truly
happiness is not for me
Never was
Made to believe all was well
When indeed again
Moments were lies
Protection of sins
to the soul

Damn this gets so
old and the trail
so very cold
Shall I look at all
as liars in my jaded
little box?
Pretend all will palter
so I shan't be
burned again?
Forty three
and I feel so
deeply jaded
Do not fail me
my friend...

Oh my gosh, sweetie. This is heart wrenching. So much lost inside your words ... it's
like you bled out so much of your heart that nothing remains now .. just the emptiness
of promises broken and tears shed. It's devastating, sis.

Trust yourself, hun is all I can offer. You are smart and so intuitive. You have
so much going for you that you don't even know. :) Things will work out and you
will come out ahead, stronger and so much more evolved. It'll be great. !!

love you,

~MG

Oh dearest Laura. This is heart breaking and ever so relatable my dear friend. Do not let the harboured feelings of emptiness, lonliness, broken hopes and shattered dreams fill your beautiful yet pained heart my dearest HippieChick. You are a strong and amazing woman. I know you'll make it through this. Chin up sweet girl and here's to much brighter days ahead~
love n hugs,
dreamer
