Dead Air

Contributed by deadheadpoet on Wednesday, 3rd October 2007 @ 04:13:44 AM in AEST
Topic: anguished

I thought I had this nailed shut
Ready to pack this piece of broken
baggage and ship it the hell off...
Then I saw you standing there.
Shoulders broad
Legs in that stance that I love
Feelings came flowing out
like water released from the dam
I don't know what to do with the excess flow
I don't know how to handle all this destruction you've caused
I've felt so much finality these last few days
and now....
now I just don't know

How can one day be this way
and one day be that?
Eight years gnaws at me
Fills me with joy and sorrows
Life is just that way
is it not?
A twisted network of feelings
We seem led one way and then the other
in the blink of a piece of time.
I'm too twisted right now
Feeling as though I cannot
get off this Scrambler ride
at the County Fair
I am so afraid
I go to scream
and there's nothing...just,

dead air...

OMIGOD! laura, hunni, that ending ... just ... D A M N !!!!!

I so, so , soooooooooo know exactly how you feel. And it is impossibly emotional; impossibly distracting; impossibly
deafening .. though no sound is uttered. It's crushing, excruciating pain that takes no prisoners. I'm so sorry
that you must endure this to get to the next phase, (whatever that may be). If I could, I would take some
of this burden from you, my sweet friend.

I hate that anyone I care about must feel so helpless ...

magnificent writing, as usual. I'm coming to that damn farmhouse one day. And we'll sit on the porch and drink
lemonade, (spiked, of course lol) and talk about our YPDC days ... lolol what fun!

peace to your soul and love to your heart, sis

~MG
