Once Were

Contributed by Inevitable on Saturday, 29th September 2007 @ 03:48:52 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I feel so guilty right now
because I can't find the right or wrongs anymore
and i want things that I know I can't have
how selfish of me
these tendencies
and pain I harbor

I can't get away from what i am
but I can drown it in liquor and nights
where I don't remember who I am or what we once were
the phone's ringing
do I have to answer it this time
it's you

You ask me how I got this number
and I can't even speak
Why are we so wrong?
And why am I drowning
I'd risk my life just to feel you one more time
that's right, I can't make the pain stop anymore
just numb it with about a million drugs

I wanna let go, don't I?
No more heart, no more love
just suffocation
and he holds me
trying to salvage this mess
this beautiful disaster

which is fading before your eyes

Beautiful.
The emotion and pain flowed through this.
I can only hope that you come out of this okay.
Best of luck.

Regards,
Karlee

I agree, this is beautiful. It's an honest confession from the heart. It is well explained and easy to relate to. I wish you the best.

God bless.
