I see her standing, most fair and tall
Her pale neck, so open and fresh
A smile embeds upon my face
I move forward, embracing the call
"My dear," said I, though she gasped
She saw my fangs and mournful grin
And so she ran; she ran all night
The prey, the kill, I did not grasp
The dawn, she glowed! I must away
Hunger boiled inside my heart
I had not bit a soul that night
I left for bed, and down I lay

'mournful grin' great imagery there. Very good rather simple poem.
