Forgiveness

Again I ask your forgiveness as I stare into the night,
Breaking down I begin to cry into the dark,
All the pain that I've caused you I see it's mark,
And now I'm looking for you to lead me into the light,
I can't expect you to trust me again,
I don't expect you to understand me today,
I can promise you that this time I'm here to stay,
And that I'll always shelter you from the rain,
I know I've changed, but now that's for you to decide,
I can't imagine what you must think of me,
My shame I ware freely for you to see,
I'm telling you everything, I have noting to hide,
Again I ask for your forgiveness as I look into your eye's,
I'm asking you to trust me as I kiss you each night,
I've changed and now it's for you to decide,
And again I'm asking for you forgiveness,
And to spend the rest of my life with you by my side.

Sad write, I feel your thoughts with this one..

At times when someone has been wounded it takes time. For some never..

Forgiveness is such a small word but so huge in its context.
