A special little feeling lurks in the shadows
Plotting its pounce into my heart,
It’s punch into my blood.
My heart is bracing for the strong impact
Calming its rhythm to a near stop,
Allowing me to breathe.
A whisper confesses the conspiracy
Leading me toward temptation,
Luring me into the dark.
My feet are glued fast to the ground
I will not be taken so easily,
Or will I?
