She wears it well

Topic: LoveRemembered

I saw her smile today
she wears it oh so well,
and though she did not smile for me
but still,

she wears it well...

She always had my fancy, dancing in my mind; playing my thoughts as if they were keys on the piano and the only song she knew was mine. Though I do wish she did not play it in the minor key of hers; can't help but say

she played it well...

...and my friends would mock me. Mocked me for I loved her, mocked me for I did not forfeit this loosing game for fools. Yet, I would smile and say unto them,
I love her...
I should have quit (while still ahead), instead I'd lost my heart to her. Though she did play this game to hurt me; can't help but say...

she played it well...

People would smile and who knows why
but still, no one wears it like her,
and they would hurt, and they would try
but still,

no one wears as well as her...

...and there are people who would smile,as if they have a secret that they, alone, knew and one that they, alone, won't tell. You have that smile did you know that? Did you know that when I see you smile I long so much that were smiling just for me? That I would wish so much that there's no one in this world except for you and me. For 'though your smile would mock me too; can't help but say

you wear it well...

though now you smile for someone else
can't help but say,

you wear it well...

...and my friends who mock me, mocked me till this day. For I can not forget about this girl. Though it's a lie that they have heard, but who am I to tell. For she still dances through my mind and wears her smile oh so well...

...she wears it oh so well.......
