Tick after Tock
the sword chops up the little worms
of resentment
planted in the soil of ideas
so wild
I am afraid to water the buds
to make them flourish.
Still, the golden canikin is resting in my palm
so small it fits around my finger,
a ring signifying a vow to the loved one.
Tick after Tock
I await the flowers to come up
to warm
the soul-sick liquid in the canikin
when the soil of ideas
so wild
I am afraid to water the buds
to make them flourish.
