Where Do Hearts Go?

Contributed by Karlee14 on Tuesday, 18th September 2007 @ 04:57:06 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Like an abandoned soul
Wandering and lonely
Lost and cast out
From words behind them.

With a single good-bye
Slicing and imprinting
Deceitful and betrayed
From their heartfelt mistakes.

Where do hearts go?
When there's no one to guide them.
Where do hearts go?
When there's no one beside them.

Like a forbidden kiss
Romantic and sweet
Dangerous and risking
From its sensual allure.

Bid them farewell
Pretending and convincing
Penetrating and loving
From their forget less dreams.

Where do hearts go?
When there's no one leading the way.
Where do hearts go?
When there's no one saving the day.
