Yes, my dear, I'm fine
The knife stops the bleeding
The extra weight fades in time
And I've forgotten what I'm needing
I've already started to smile
(On occasion, if at all)
And if you wait a little while
You'll see my build up my wall
The tears have all been dried
They've been wiped away
(Soon all of them will be cried)
Little by little, day by day
My heart's been put back together
(As long as the duct tape holds)
All the time I'm feeling better
And I'm not completely cold
See, I'm doing alright on my own
Knowing you never cared
I'm facing the world all alone
And I'm not even scared

*gives you a big hug*
Hun, I think we've all been there. It sucks, I know.
Hang in there, ok?
Your poetry is getting better as you are growing, Kiela, this is really good. I did notice one tiny mistake, though:
You'll see my build up my wall
Is the first my meant to be me?
Anyway, good write hun. It's good to read something of yours again.
Loves ya lots.

Good for you not being scared and moving on no matter all the pain. sometimes all there is in life is broken pieces taped together to keep us going. Maybe it will be ok in time. Great and heartfelt write! |

Sadly we give people chances when all too often they don't deserve it.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but ultimately useless..
At least we learn something from our mistakes.
