You’re dead to me,
I guess you see,
Removed from my list,
No faltered words,
No scene absurd,
Nor a parting of the lips.
For all it’s worth,
I loved you dear,
My heart did flutter for,
Though you’ll never see,
I hope this be,
The closing of our door.
