Too Blind To See

Contributed by Chamaron on Friday, 14th September 2007 @ 11:29:14 AM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

There’s a part of me that just watches
As everything tends to go by.
There’s a part of me that looks on
As the child inside begins to cry.

Bruised by surreality,
My mind is broken in two.
I search and I seek, and ponder hard,
But I still don’t get you.

All seems numb in comparison
To this untouchable array of pain.
All is just child’s play,
Save that for which damages the sane.

Even the life I promised to myself,
The one I dared myself to live,
I cannot engage in fully,
Not until I remember how to forgive.

But between broken and healing
Lies a battlefield of self-doubt and shame.
How can I repair this bridge from me to you
When it feels like nothing will ever be the same?

How, in truth, can I mend my own self
When diseases of the mind were covered but not cured?
How can I afford to move on
When the problems remain ignored?

Will this answer for which I seek
Ever, in my lifetime, come to me?
Or is it before me just now,
And in my numbness, I am too blind to see?

the answers are within your own words..

"Not until I remember how to forgive...."

You have to forgive, that will work wonders by itself.

"When it feels like nothing will ever be the same?"
Nothing WILL ever be the same..things change, and life goes on. don't dwell on the changes, just learn to roll with them..learn to live with, and accept them.

"When the problems remain ignored?"

You cannot always get others to work on problems or issues, they choose to ignore them..forget them...the only thing you can do with that is let them go..if they are not your problems then don't hold them on your shoulders..it's a heavy load to have to carry our own problems as it is..just take whats yours and leave in a sense i guess... then you can work on your problems if any and let them ignore theirs.

"And in my numbness, I am too blind to see?"

You are not too blind to see..It's hard to find the answers you seek when there are so many things wondering around inside your head...we are all victims to this...the answers are there..you just need to take a deep breath..take a break..clear your mind..go off somewhere and do something for yourself..by yourself...where your mind can focus on nothing but what you are doing..then revisit the problems after that.

this was a fantastic write by the way..it set my mind in motion as you can probably tell...thanks for posting it.
