Young Ursula running leaving her family behind,
remembering all her father told her to do,
having his words etched in her mind,
shes scared, tierd and weak trying to make it through,
Knowing she had to reach the great wall,
for the communist soldiers are comming fast,
getting down on the ground,in a low crawl,
for the soldiers with guns she had to get past,
Digging for hours trying to make a hole,
big enough for her to get out,
Timing things just right, with the light pole,
and the soldiers that did the turn about,
The lights were off her so she decided to go,
Under bob wired fence she went,
trying to be quiet & doing it slow,
getting hooked up on a wire that was bent,
Trying to break her way free,
pulling on her coat to give way,
not wanting the soldiers to see,
all she did was start to pray,
Just than she was spotted by the light,
they started to shoot and shout at her,
she was pulling harder to get out of site,
Everything became a blur,
She was hit in the back, when she finally rolled free,
rolling on to the Western side,
laying there still where she bleed,
being strong yet she still cried,
Laying in a ditch waiting to die,
American soldiers came to her rescue,
thank goodness they had drove by,
like angels dressed in blue,
She was safe from harm, would her parents know,
remembering all her father had to say,
she knew than where she wanted to go,
taking a boat to the freedom of USA!
