I 've wore the chains and I carry the scars from all the years locked theses bars, The deepest cut scars that I carry with me are the ones no human eye can see. Like not being there when they laid grandmother away, and not being there on Christmas day.the ones I got when my grand kids came, Not being there I have only me to blame.I didnt get to see my family make alter call, God told me they were standing ten feet tall. But the chains and the bars left no scar to see, like the one I got when they got Baptized without me. I've learned to live by reason and not alone by Gold, I'll try to right my every wrong before I turn too old. I live for those who love me, for those who know me true, For the heaven smiles above me,And waits for my scarred soul too.

It seems like something my biological parents would want to tell me.
