Mother, my heart hurts
Time after time I prove myself
Yet, your lack of faith never changes
You can disagree, but they're only words
As a day to day experience, you are depressed
And you reflect this onto others
With your maze of thoughts
I can't help you because my opinion doesn't matter
I'm not rich, no wife or kids
Nothing like the Alex Keaton you wanted me to be
Therefore, I'm a failure
You're blessed with grandchildren from my siblings
So, 2 out of 3 aint bad. Consider it a victory.
How much time do we have left to solve this riddle?
Before one or both are gone
You can ask, "How can I say this, don't you love your mother?"
Yes, but how can I sacrifice the truth for that love?

So often the truth is hidden behind the lies of love, it is with great effort and pain that we strip away the facade to face the pain.
Nicely worded.
as always,
