LARCENY’S PERK
Soldiers in a war unknown,
Marching to there destruction all alone,
In ignorance of the dangers that lurk
Subjugated to larceny’s perk-
Sprawled over the city landscape,
Held captive by death without any hope of escape,
Their blood watering the mourning grass and the weeping willow tree,
No longer able just to be-
Only their tombs are here,
Laid in well-manicured lawns, which capture’s every tear,
Standing in stark silence without a voice to be heard,
They cry out from there graves with a very quiet word-
Don’t be as we were, soldiers in a war unknown,
Marching to our destruction all alone,
In ignorance of the dangers that lurk,
Subjugated to larceny’s perk-
