Invocation

Invocation

Arms wide
head high
blank eyes
to sun-stripped sky
I cry…

“I invoke thee Words Of Reason”

Oh Compassion, I entreat thee
Won’t you venture forth to meet me?

~

I do not seek to be demanding
Guide my head, my heart, my hand
Bestow patient understanding
Upon the shoulders of this man

Let my thoughts flow forth unjaded
My reply, let sound sincere
Somewhere there beyond this madness
May sanity then persevere

Logic does not seem cohesive
There is no simple place to start
What words befit a man who has
Abandoned post of heart?

And what to say of blood
And honor, duty, and the rest?
Should I tell him where he failed,
That another passed the test?

As I conjure Comprehension,
I implore now earnestly…
Of my greatest apprehension,
I wish, not like him, to be.

Knees bent
voice spent
soul rent
each word was meant
consent…

“I invoke you, Words Of Wisdom”

A very powerful write. May these words from your heart be an answered prayer for all that you ask. I do not know the struggle but I do know you have strength to pass through this.
You are a warrior who has asked for all the right weapons to do your battle. Peace Naz.

Naz, This poem is very deep. I read it first then a second time. May you find the peace that your words suggest you are seeking. Greetings from bern

Naz,
I remember the previous post. I am pretty much at a loss for words, this was a fine piece of writing. You can feel the tug of your emotions, throughout this. I can't imagine what you're going through, I will say I wish you peace in this personal struggle.
Hugs,
Laura
