Our interpretation of the situation may differ drastically from reality
What we think of as a common trace
Bares crucial and striking similarities
Upon a second taste
Sour turns sweet
As my own vision
Is reflected
With clarity and speed
Unassembled,
Begging for completeness
Wholeness in a world of partial pleasures
I try to take notice of everything that allows me…
A mutual benefit
Found in friendship
Conceived in bitterness
Contrived with willingness
Unsolicited patronage
Forming the thin layers of defensive
Measures taken
An intense feeling
Of spinning from the ceiling
So the room goes round and round
Compound interest accrues
The news predicts
Bodies are missed
The fires maintain and persist
Till all trees are ash
and only dust lives
In forests of loneliness
We wait for a divine kiss
Trust in what is said
Among the entombed philosophers of the dead
Embalmed, wrapped and left for shreds
The books written
Of which I have not read
The logical conclusion
A biological illusion
A dying sun heats the Earth, Mars-type red
The dirt digs a worm
Submerged
Rolling on its head
In a hole on its own
Control given then its gone
Only to those on-top for the ride in bed
Infinite possibilities
Attributed to the meanings
Of prophets and mad-men
(and some women, I’m sure)
An innocent bride
Mistaken for the cheap whore
An ingenious tribe
Native no more
Land sold
Case-closed
The door slammed
On survivors
Fleeing vile hate
Lascivious claims
I concentrate, I try
I attempt to relate
To relocate my mistakes
Negotiate a compromise
Based on an understanding of tolerable waste
I hesitate,
To think
What will come?
With a wink
Years?, months?, days?
I’m sorry,
I just cant stay
