Lifepoems

Like shadows through the great oak's branches
Like mist fading at dawns first light
Like dew from a flower falling
Like moon light gliding across ocean waves
Like sun beams peeking through the gray clouds
Like a tiny breeze seeping along the green lace field
That which cannot be held,
For a fleeting moment in passing,
Imposable to catch
Through the course of a breath vanishing
Becoming many forms but never shaped,
Forever in movement
Never after the same,
Neither coming nor going,
Just being as is,
My heart beats without rhythm,
As my feet skim the ground below,
Awaking in an empty dream,
Neither a nightmare nor heavenly vision I see,
In the stillness my soul continues in longing movement
Finding no rest through all the sleeping days,
So I am and I am me,
Not one thing or the other,
That which touches and holds,
Yet cannot be touched nor held,
That which in minute brief changes,
And with which maybe passed by without ever a noticed,
Still there seen or unseen,
Loved or hated,
Simply moving the only way possible,
Forward.

I love the descriptions at the beginning, gorgeous images of nature, so peaceful! I also like the attempt to define such personal feelings with words that are vivid and understandable whilst still retaining the edge that nobody else could feel them in quite the same way as you did, as everybody experiences things differently.
It does seem that the moving forward is being done a little reluctantly, but remember that you made an active decision to move rather than staying standing still, so it is always positive.
Take care,
Dom |

I think this speaks volume of what motion to go in when you are "Stuck" as one might say.
Head into life with the awareness you paint with your words and truly experience, where you are and all the beauty that is. Then finally do what is natural..of course...move forward.
This is the greatest advice we can give each other and you have done if to perfection. You get that pen busy....we need that wonderful advice all over these pages. Thanks Alison. |
