The vast and beautiful end...

If I could flow against the sleepy night
As the lunar eye above peers unblinking upon earth..
And pierce the boundary blue, at atmospheric height,
Let my true ethereal soul guide me with long forgotten knowledge,
Speed like light towards the universal windows long adored,
As the spectacular blue falls deeper into the coldest vacuum,
I remember we heard the passing distant cars at night, and how our souls soared…
I’ll be happy though I’ve left it, life is the shine that never blinks,
Like the multitude of galactic swirls upon the celestial horizon,
If this is the end of all for me, then life is surely stark,
Though its memories keep me amazed by what’s outside it, plunging into dark,
And all the deep seated fear shudders and rotates and falls into the void,
Now I flow through eternal night alone,
And all distant earthly sounds spin on silent axis,
All forms off consciousness, muted, vibrating from my home,
And the souls that flew before
Stand beyond the star enamelled door
Infused with universal love unfelt before...

Hey zenith .. .
yup, I'm perusing your back catalogue. =) And wow! This trembles with
an eerie sort of emotion- parts of it so exquisitely beautiful that one
can't help but be sucked into it's lure. I hate delining, (as you know), but
I must mention that this particular line rendered me mute ..
"life is the shine that never blinks"
So simple a statement and yet so profound a thought!
Wonderful post here, zenith. A gravitational tug on the heart.
