Late Night Blues

Contributed by deadheadpoet on Thursday, 23rd August 2007 @ 04:22:13 PM in AEST
Topic: anguished

Eviscerated is how I feel
Through war I've been
and I've not fared well
in my endeavors.

I bleed for I've the cuts
you have made
that go deeper into the viscera
than any other swordsman has.

These tears seem unending
flood flows and the hour is late
I want to pick up the phone
but I'm too scared to call.

I am lost and so afraid
trying to push my entrails
back in place, weakening from your disease
and nothing seems to fit, anymore.

If I could change things
I would, but I can't
and this pain is becoming
unbearable to withstand.

You, my love have hurt me
so terribly bad
I cannot be mended
I am living in such a state of disarray.

Don't want to believe that I
I may have failed once again
and damn they say third time
is a charm, oh no, not for me.

I am desperate in these late hours
So close to just giving up
I don't know where to begin
or where to end this, anymore...

(((((Laura))))) I'm so sorry for your what your going through but don't give up, your poems are our saviour and some may even learn and think twice before inflicting the unforgivable wretched pain that you have gone through, you of all people on here should not have had this happen.

peace to you and your children my sister . . .
