She comes only at dusk into the
child's room, she who wears the
cloak of the stars.
She who bears the gift of
dream beneath that cloak,
does drape it over the sleeping
babe, does cover him from the cold.
As she lies her whispy silver locks
next to his, she whispers into his
tiny ear the secerets of the world to come.
The child's eye lids flitter as
he dreams his dreams of pleasant things
and remembered memories of the days happenings.
Her job now done, this mysterious
lady of the dusk does rise
from that very bed, where lies that slumbering head,
and through the open window
she disappears, draping with her
starry cloak the silent night,
covering it from the cold.

such softness to this write
like being young again and having your moms sweet voice tell you a bed time story and say its ok, there are no boogie men, not even under the bed.
