As Night Turns to Dawn

Contributed by AnenaLynne on Saturday, 18th August 2007 @ 08:02:06 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

A single tear escapes down her cheek.
She chokes back sobs as she tries to speak.
Her voice sounds feeble, weak, and chilled.
She knows that the void in her soul will never be filled.
She tries to fight off her demons, but they are too strong.
She now knows the difference between right and wrong.
Her guilt tears at her, tormenting her mind.
She searches for comfort, a luxury she may never find.
When had she finally lost control of her life?
When had she surrendered to heartache and strife?
Finally she starts healing, as night turns to dawn.
A body with a broken soul continuing on.
