Huff, Puff, Huff
There goes the air.
Right out of the lungs, to the forever disappeared.
Where I journey on blind, with a watch round my wrist.
Collecting the time below my bracelets and above my fist.
Tick, Tock, Tick
That's the sound that it makes.
As the moon rolls pass and the night sky wakes.
When the animals are out, when the daylight breaks.
I was set out for perfection when I made my mistakes.
Zoom, vroom, gloom
That's the order in which it comes.
When you're busy slowing down as the time left runs.
I've spent all this time trying to get to where I'm going,
not clear to the fears I've been upright in showing.
I'm at such a drag I say I cannot wait
to get to the point where I want it to slow down
I'm at such a drag, it's such a sluggish state
till you get to the point where you want to slow it down
Huff, Puff, Huff,
Tick, Tock, Tick,
Zoom, vroom, gloom
Loose your lungs,
you're out of time
Racing to your doom.

Splendid! yes, a few misspellings, but top notch poetry and a set of verse that outshines so much of the drivel presented on this site and which, inexplicably gets read and commented on. Go figure - there's no accounting for taste, and you've awoken mine.
'to the forever disappeared'
what a damn fine line!
and your philisophical, existentional and social observations were spot on, poet. I salute you.
