Lost in the Swirl

Contributed by deadheadpoet on Wednesday, 15th August 2007 @ 01:33:04 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

I was not in the best shape
Now...
Now I feel like I've been placed
in a blender and someone pressed...
puree.
So much has been ripped and ravaged
Torn and mangled so savagely.
I feel I can't get the pieces together again.
I am losing my grip
on reality.
Slowly seeing it fade
right underneath from me.
Brief moments
it would seem like I
can pull in pieces of flesh...
but only briefly in the macabre of time
and then again swept away.
Swirling wildly, insanely about.

There is no true joy in this... anymore.

So creatively expressed. I like poems that touch on emotions that I personally feel..and you did an excellent of that with this poem. Good job.

*hugs you oh so tightly*

Laura, my dear friend, this is gut wrenching work. Truly words
bled right onto the page, hun. I hope that by doing so, it at least
alleviates some of the pain. *sigh*

You are whole, sis. Beautifully whole. I hope life turns around
for you soon. I can't think of anyone more deserving ...

peace, hugs and love to you, always,

~MG

A very vivid and g raphic poem, but very well written. Often we find life leading us, rather then we leading our lives. I hope you find peace in your soul, if you indeed are "Lost In The Swirl" my friend.

Peace be with you, my friend

Will
