For a minute there
I gazed into your eyes
How they would gleam
The most beautiful I’ve ever seen
I got lost in them, for a minute.

For a second there
I noticed how fit you are
How your arms made my heart melt
The strongest I’ve ever felt
I wish you’d hold me, for a second.

For a bit there
I heard your voice
Like an angel’s word
The boldest I’ve ever heard
I wanted you to call my name, for a bit.

For a moment there
I realized I wanted you
How I needed to be near
I knew there’d be nothing to fear
I thought I loved you, but only for a moment.
