I believe in love a little less each day

Life can get pretty hard when relationships go astray.
I believe in love a little less each day.
Marriages used to last fifty years, now they last fifty weeks.
Couples keep breaking up even though true love is what everybody seeks.
I've gotten a lot of rejections because I don't have much money.
Everything gets dark when I begin to think it's sunny.
I have pain and anger because life goes this way.
I believe in love a little less each day.

What a sad poem. The Wife and I are still loving each other after fifty-three years of marriage. We never had much money but we did have each other and every day we kissed and never went to bed on a quarrel. We too have had our ups and downs but we are still going strong a little weak in our legs maybe but ever so strong in our love for one another. Find the right girl and you too will be able to write words like I have just done. Peace and greetings from bern. |
