Sitting together in the park
We looked through each others eyes
While we talked about every lie
We ever though of telling
And retelling every lie we ever swore on
My hair was wavy from the humidity
And you’re fingers were running through every strand
While we remembered how great we to be
You at living and me with words
The all too familiar feeling of false hope
Seemed to have blown away as the wind
That sent chills down out backs
And something changed when we were sitting in the park
The silence we no longer feared just grew bigger
As we stopped missing who we used to be
Wasn’t that the day you said you said you love me?
In those few moments as the wind was blowing
We reached the point where we were so in love
That we both knew it was time to become self destructive
Because neither you nor I could be happy being happy
So we built up the walls we were so used to building
And we began to hate every detail of each others life
And everything about ourselves
I wish I didn’t know what I wanted anymore
It would make living like this so much easier
I wish I could say I hated you
But I promised you that say in the park
That all these lies would stop
