Eternal Kingdoms Fallen

Contributed by doug on Thursday, 9th August 2007 @ 09:06:07 AM in AEST
Topic: fantasy

~Eternal Kingdoms Fallen~
-----------------------------------------

Castles lying in the mist
Spires crowned in dying ray.
Dusk falling ; silent banners
'neath the giant clouds, they sway

Knights gather 'neath the storm
in rank ; glory in their eyes.
Now they stand defiant forever.
Now they stand , defiantly die

Their blood to save The Raven Queen
( Knights of the Eternal Throne ).
Lo , with pride , she watches now
whilst bravely into hell they go.

Odin , cries the brooding Queen ,
send thy Raven Memory!
See this deed and grant Vahalla
for these ; thy men of bravery!

~The Eternal Kingdoms lie in ruin...
but in Vahalla the brave shall live forever~

i see the difference in the writes, yet Doug, this is so beautiful..they fight for their queen to the dying end. im lost in this write, with so much vivid scenes crossing through the minds. see the fair queen send her fellow fighters to help proclaim; glory!

Clearly you have written the better of the two. I think you understood this piece so much better than I did. Once again an amazing write.

holy heck doug! Tremendously and passionately moving, my friend!
A truly glorious description of bygone kingdoms and brave knights.
though, I think your queen looks to be somewhat indifferent ...

truly a most decorative piece filled with stunning descriptions!

Like all your poems, so mysterious, dark, sublime, shadow-like....the poem just sways as in a breeze. Love it.
