My inner Ghost

Contributed by fadingaway on Thursday, 9th August 2007 @ 03:59:15 AM in AEST
Topic: StoryPoetry

As you look into my eyes,
You can see the blackness that has come to reside,
I do not try and fight it,
And at sometimes I welcome it,

I can still see the pain contorted on her face,
When I sleep, all I dream of is the crimson waterfall,
And now I have filled my heart with hate,
I now know the feeling of loosing everything,
Do you know what it's like to in one night have everything you care about taken from you,

I woke up just like I've done before,
I went to school just like every day,
I study hard because I want to do well,
And soon I hear the ring of the lunch bell,

I look for you in the crowded hall,
Your nowhere to be found,
I become a little worried hoping you are ok,
But knowing that I'll see you at the end of the day,

School ends and I don't see you there,
I walk home alone and wonder if your there,
Your not waithing there so I come to you,
Your mom and dad say your up in your room,

I walk up the stairs just like before,
Slowly walk down the hall like before,
As I get to you door I stop and wait,
And when I opened the door,
Just what was in store,

Sure enough there you were,
Laying on your bed with those white silk sheets,
But they weren't white,
The had been died crimson,
Stained with the blood of the innocent,

Your parents said that it was my fault,
As I reflect 2 years later,
I still don't know why you did it,
Or what you were trying to prove,

As you look into my eye's,
You can see the pain that never sleeps,
I remember the last things we said,
Goodnight babe, I'll see you tomorrow,
Those words that filled me with bitter sorrow,

I dispise love and am no longer capable.

Beneith the stone,
Rock and bone,
Beside your tomb I lye,
Waiting for Haides to come for me,
But my curse is I cannot die.

Wow my friend, what a sad story. Heart-wrenching. Suicide is decided only by the person that makes that choice...saying it was your fault is just wrong. The young lady obviously had a lot going on with in her mind and soul. Your last stanza felt so wickedly cold. You are young too, I am assuming, as you talk of school. Take chances. Take risks. Yes, you may get hurt again, but you must try again. I'm 42 and have learned....life is going to happen, you have just got to ride it out and believe me sometimes it feels like a damn roller coaster. Just keep hanging on.
Good write.
Much peace,
Laura
