The Abyss

Contributed by jerseysue on Tuesday, 7th August 2007 @ 02:03:22 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Darkened tunnels they take me
Down to the hell of dark valley
A place of fear , a place of dread
The Abyss is where these tunnels led

Away from goodness, away from faith
With each tortured step my feet doth make
My mind in turmoil, my soul destroyed
I have entered this depressive void

Lost in a space that is cold and dark
My mind in limbo,it is so stark
I am alone, no one to set me free
The abyss it now has a hold on me

I am encaptured, I am in trouble
My mind plays tricks, I am seeing double
My alter ego, and the real me
I can't tell them apart you see

So in the abyss I am imprisoned
Set in blackness, I feel old and wizened
My eyes they stare, in zombie state
As the evil demons plan my fate

They taunt and chide, they victimise
And stare at me with evil eyes
I am at their mercy, I tell you this
I am at the bottom of the deepest abyss
