Returning

Contributed by crow on Monday, 6th August 2007 @ 03:45:23 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

This is when I miss you the most,
thunder rolls far off,
standing at the window.

I think the roar
a mighty engine,
has Me returning"
safely to You.

The ache and the hurry"
call out once more,
Angels are silent
eyes are dust...

This is when I need you the most,
the Earth shakes
the Heavens cry
I am my only chance..
growing weak.

At last the mighty fold their wings
voices of fallen sleep
purest water has not cleansed me
and that light" is the Father of shadows...Vincent

A wonderful piece my friend. It whispers the saddness in your heart and the waiting of her return. I hope the wait will not be long.

My friend, you'll never fully know the degree to which I understand this ...

There is a deepness and an emptiness inside your words. I see a comfort
and a pain. And it is near impossible to remain unbiased when
it comes to this kind of shared emotion. Exceptionally captured, my
dear poet. The last stanza is incredible!

*warmth and hugs to you*

A beautiful write...It only touches on the sadness that you must be feeling. No one can take away the memories and that is what keeps me going through all the rough spots.
I to have had my share of loss and know just how hard losing someone you love can be.
My heart goes out to you my friend.
Keep writing.

Ahh can remember the empty nest sendrome.
I tried to think of one less thing in the house which was less laundry/couldn't ever get passed that but at least less laundry brought me thru the pain. Also brought many memories to warm my heart.
Hang tuff friend, you'll get thru the pain and I'm sure she'll bring back much joy.
Huggs, prayers, smiles,
emy
