I'm Sorry

Contributed by ceres on Sunday, 5th August 2007 @ 06:21:39 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

If I'd known I'd never be good enough,
would I have said yes?
Should I have appologized
for those times I told you I'd rather stay in with you
than go out and party?
I never knew you'd rather have a "bad girl" than "good girl",
and I never knew when you said you loved me,
that you didn't mean it.
I'm sorry I turned out to be
one of those girls you always talk to,
but never date,
and I'm sorry I told you I loved you
and actually meant it.

well ceres, if this is true...tis better to find out what kind of guy he is now rather than later on. unlike other poems ive come across recently that were so vague i couldnt feel sorry for them, feel their emotions, or much less understand what they were trying to say-your poem was different in the fact that it could make me care about what happened to you, or the fictional you in the poem. your ending was heartwrenching, unique, and powerful. you have some talent, glad to see you use it.

This is a very strong read. It hold a lot of emotion and a deep understanding for just how hard love can be. He dosen't know what he is missing. I often have no clue were what i write comes from. Wrote with conviction and feeling. Short and to the point.
I like it!!!
keep writing,
milo
